My breakfast nook has been completely updated and now is one of my favorite spaces! Adding a table has been a long time coming (it has literally taken me a year to buy one), and in just a month, it’s gotten so much use.
Remember when it looked like this? You can see more of the room’s transformation here.
With all of the wallpaper gone, the molding changed and a new window added, the nook was ready for furniture! I’m not sure how long I’ll be in this house, so I wanted to keep the space simple. Here it was pre-furniture:
This picture was taken at night, but during the day the light comes in that window and I don’t even need to utilize the light fixture.
I started envisioning this space when I saw these Serena & Lilly chairs. They were out of my price range, though. I got lucky finding a similar version at Target on sale at the end of summer. The pair of chairs sat in the nook for a few months before I pulled the trigger on a table.
One of my roommates sent me a link to this table on sale at West Elm, and it was exactly what I had been looking for. I originally thought I needed more of a bistro table, but I never want to take away from the classic feel of my home – I love the original era details (my house was built in 1927 for reference).
So, here’s what it’s like now. I’m so happy to unveil it to you here and share where I love to have my morning coffee!
