Scarves and Restaurant Week
Scarf: Loft (under $15!!) | Dress: Nordstrom | Shoes: Target | Bag: Nordstrom Rack | Starbucks: I’m drinking a Caramel Macchiato today ?
Have you ever been to Omaha? There are so many more things to do than you’d anticipate. Being in Chicago the last year, I was exposed to so many good restaurants. I was sure when I came back the thing I’d miss was the food.
Well, Omaha has stepped up their game!
I’ve gone to wine bars, happy hours (the drinks are so much cheaper here so that’s a plus!), pre-dinners, post-dinners, actual dinners and my personal favorite, reverse happy hour! I had no idea Omaha had so much to offer.
I’m learning even more this week.
It’s Omaha Restaurant Week! This is in no means a promotion, I just think it’s worthwhile to share. There are over 30 (probably more!) restaurants having a special menu where you get an appetizer, dinner and dessert for a certain price – either $20, $30, $40 or $50. 5% of the proceeds from each dinner go to the Omaha Food Bank.
I took my usual date to a Tuesday night dinner – my dad of course… haha. We went to Railcar, a place I’d never heard of until now! I devoured bruschetta, pork tenderloin in a caramel bourbon sauce (like, I could have ate the sauce plain) and carrot cake. I’m actually still full today.
Tonight my friend & I are going to Flemings, which should be delicious. I’m going to try Sirloin (Nebraska, y’all!).
Have you ever been?
Here’s to tromping out into the food scene in Omaha in this new scarf from Loft. It’s currently on MAJOR sale for under $15.
Happy Thursday!
