The past few years, I’ve been traveling frequently and my suitcase had taken a toll. Gordmans has a ton of designer luggage in store at the moment, which I love, especially with the airline deals available this time of year! I’m headed to D.C. next week and have started to prepare!
Hello and happy Monday! In November, I booked a trip to Washington D.C. with my friend Taylor to visit our friend Jessica who moved there this past summer for her job. I am so excited! I’ve never been to D.C. and traveling to the capital city was high on my wish list. When Gordmans reached out to partner with me and share their designer luggage with you, I was ecstatic since the timing couldn’t be more perfect! My travel itinerary doesn’t end with D.C., though.
February: Washington D.C.
March: Dallas, TX and Milwaukee, WI
May: Dallas, TX and Las Vegas
June: Kansas City
Basically, this luggage is going to get A LOT of use in just the first half of the year!! I needed a suitcase that checked off all the boxes:
- Durable on the outside (AKA hardshell) – I’ve never had a hardshell suitcase, actually. The one I had been using is cloth with pockets and it’s kind of disastrous. I am not sure what happened post-airport security, but it’s got some stains I can’t identify. LOL! I needed one that I could wipe down when I came home. Plus, sometimes I worry about things like bedbugs in hotels (gross, but such a true thing), and a hardshell suitcase is less worrisome.
- Spinner wheels – all four wheels need to be able to go in every, single direction. It SUCKS to be in the airport and not have this!
- Capability to expand – extra zippers on the side in case I buy too many things while on a trip 😉
This suitcase by Nicole Miller was exactly what I was looking for! It’s a tad bigger than carry-on size, but it isn’t massive. It’s durable, useful AND you can’t see it – but the inside is leopard print 🙂 For just $80, it’s a STEAL compared to other retailers. Even with this luggage being a stellar price, Gordmans has a deal called “Lowest Price Guarantee”. To make sure that they can give shoppers the lowest possible price, if you find a lower price somewhere else on any item you found at Gordmans, they will match the competitor’s price and give you a $5 Gordmans gift card!
I headed to my local Gordmans store in Fremont, NE (find yours here) and found two isles of luggage (back left corner for those shopping local!). I struggled because they had so many options – both printed and plain colored suitcases of all sizes! Since I’m headed kind of all over and wanted something for multiple uses, I went with all black.
I snagged the Jessica Simpson luggage tag in one of the aisles that had travel accessories, storage bags, pillows and more for…you’ll never believe the price… $1.98! With their mission to thrill every guest with fun finds and exciting deals at every turn (or aisle!), there’s no need to hunt for bargains at Gordmans – you can always find travel essentials with exceptional style at competitive prices, every day!
Are you headed anywhere fun or avoiding the winter weather if you’re a Midwest gal? I’d love to hear packing tips – that’s next on my list!
