I’m sorry it’s been a bit since I’ve done a monthly recap! Things have been hectic, but that’s no excuse for not keeping you in the loop 😉
June was filled with rain, heat and lots of good times with friends. One of my roommates and I have already set our July goals thanks to inspiration from Brighton Keller:
Don’t you love this idea? Walks are so relaxing. Now for sharing about June…
What I Bought:
- I snagged this button front dress to wear to basically ANY occasion – including Nicole’s wedding next weekend.
- While at AE, I grabbed these jeans for work.
- In the past few months, I purchased this Sally Hansen Gel Manicure Kit at Walgreens so I can do shellac at home. It takes me about 10 minutes to have a near-perfect manicure and saves me lottttts of $! You can order it online here.
In My Shopping Cart:
- I love this devotional journal called “One Minute with God.” I hadn’t been on the Day Spring website until last month, and there are so many great finds and gifts.
Where I Traveled/Ate:
June wasn’t a huge travel month, just a few fun occasions! I didn’t recap May, but in May I went to Girl & The Goat while in Chicago, and I would say that’s been my favorite restaurant the past two months.
I was in my cousin’s wedding in June, so I traveled about an hour to Pierce, where my family is from! She made her bouquets and they were BEAUTIFUL.
I also played a lot of softball in my slow pitch league, worked on house projects – carpet install, painting and decorating – and met up with Shelbi at Corkscrew, which is my favorite place in Omaha for wine and cheese.
What I Watched:
Netflix released movies with Adam Sandler for their contract, so I watched both Murder Mystery and The Week Of. Murder Mystery was a lot more tolerable, but so Netflix-esque. I also watched Always Be My Maybe and really liked it!
The Handmaid’s Tale is back on Hulu and I am LIVING FOR IT. I’m super obsessed with this show.
I also saw Annabelle Comes Home in theaters. You should rent it, I was terrified for the first 30 minutes.

I’m excited for the 4th of July week – enjoying a day off work or on the boat. I have a wedding this month, a family trip and it’s the infamous John C. Fremont Days in my hometown. I’m hoping July is filled with sun and relaxation. I can’t express enough how relaxed I feel moved into my new (old) home. 🙂 Hoping you have a joyous month as well!
