January Recap

Today I’m recapping the first month of 2018. Read what I bought, ate, watched and more in my January recap!

Clothes I Bought:

Sherpa Quarter Zip
Denim – Black, Grey, Dark Wash (literally IDENTICAL to my Frame pair!)
Athleisure Nike Wrap

Home Items I Purchased:

I don’t think a wallpaper steamer counts, so this month I refrained from buying home items!

Where I Traveled/Ate:

I didn’t go anywhere fancy or different (Bonefish and Kona Grill don’t count), but I did want to share something hilarious. My co-worker Jaime started Macrocook, an Instagram for marco-friendly recipes. Sooo, as a result, my other co-worker Kari started Microcook to compete 😉 Definitely give them a laugh and follow.

Movies or Shows I Saw:

Insidious: The Last Key: Holyyyy scary. I liked this best out of all the Insidious movies. There was a lot more of a plot and I was never sure how it was going to end up. I honestly want to rent it and watch again, I thought it was that good.
The Greatest Showman: Zac Efron has come a long way since High School Musical! The Greatest Showman was as good as I anticipated!
It: I finally watched It! I thought it was going to be super scary, but LOL no. It was more dramatic. I am anxious for a sequel and now need to watch the original.

Netflix/Hulu Series I Watched:

Grace & Frankie Season 4: Oh yes, I watched the whole season. I have an obsession with this show. I can’t stop watching and I’m hoping it isn’t over!!
So Undercover: Do you ever just randomly watch a Miley Cyrus movie? She goes undercover with the “FBI” and into a sorority. It was a huge chick-flick, but kept me entertained!
Fun Mom Dinner: Watched this with some of my girlfriends and we could not stop laughing. It was definitely a wine and girl’s night kind of movie.

Recipes I Tried:

Creamy Tuscan Garlic Chicken (in the slow cooker): This was SPICY! It was so easy to make, though, and I made half the recipe since I was cooking for one. It gave me three days of lunches.
Low Carb Taco Soup (in the slow cooker): Literally the easiest soup I’ve ever made – there are maybe five (?) ingredients! I brought this over to my parent’s house for dinner one night and it was like we were eating queso 🙂 I opted out of the extra cheese on top, as I thought the cream cheese was enough.
