I have to be honest, when I started brainstorming for this post I wanted it to be motivational. I’ve been in kind of a rut lately (if you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed), and I wanted to be inspiring if you had been too. Sometimes I get so caught up in the little things, I put my passions on the back burner, and it’s not healthy. I started blogging originally to show my lifestyle and how to be professional, independent and a boss babe in your early 20’s. We all want to look like we’ve got it all together, even when we don’t. Doing this can be easy – here’s my foolproof list for fashion: fall essentials for the lazy girl.
1. Basic Tee
I have to laugh at myself because I wore this tee Friday night, Saturday afternoon and then I washed it to wear it again Sunday…no regrets. I nabbed this black, long sleeve v-neck at Old Navy earlier this month for $6 (shop it in store for more of a discount, I see it’s $10 online), and I can’t stop pairing it with everything in sight. I love the longer, scoop bottom to wear with leggings, too.
2. Fall Scarf
Name a color leopard doesn’t match… you can’t. This scarf is $11 and you can tie it in any fashion. I lucked out and mine was tied like this when I purchased it, so I didn’t have to do any work (or watch any YouTube videos!). This is perfect to dress up your tee, work dress or layer!
3. Lightweight Cardigan
This cream colored cardi matches every item you own and can be paired with almost any style of top! The length is perfect and it comes in both petite and regular sizes. My mom even liked this – so she purchased it too in green 🙂
4. Floppy Hat
Covering my dry shampooed locks in this easy, floppy hat. I purchased mine at Nordstrom Rack last year, but linked a similar version! If you want to have a lazy day but then hit happy hour or a night out with the girls and still look like you tried, you need this.
5. Leather Booties
I really struggled to find booties this season. My favorite pair are from Forever 21 and I purchased them my sophomore year of college. They somehow match everything and are the right height, but they’ve seen better days! I wanted to find a pair that were still a good height with jeans and work appropriate if styled correctly. Plus, they’re easy to clean!
If you’re like me and want to sleep in, then throw on something cute, snag any of these five fall essentials for the lazy girl. Your future stylish self will thank you for it 🙂 Shop it all here:
