Best Gifts for Your Gals

Hey friends – Happy Monday! How was your weekend? I saw two movies (reviews to come in my next monthly recap – view March’s here), enjoyed brunch at Kith & Kin in Dundee and snagged some fresh blooms at Trader Joe’s for $3.99. Honestly, it was my second time ever at Trader Joe’s and I wish I could have spent longer there. Unfortunately, that also would have meant I spent more than $3.99 😉

I finished my weekend out by grabbing a coffee at Milady (my favorite spot in Fremont; I seem to be there every Sunday), and catching up on this blog, the news and work. There was a lot of news this weekend, and a few things I want to share before I dive into this post:

  1. Younkers is potentially closing both Omaha locations (Westroads and Oakview on June 5th. Read the full article here. I’m not a huge Younkers fan (I prefer Dillards actually), but I think it’s so vital to have department stores fill our malls – ugh. It is crazy to see the change Amazon started – the online marketplace taking over. Younkers at Oakview was where I had my first makeup counter experience at Clinique. I loved those ladies.
  2. On a positive note, Target’s Hunter Boots collab launches on Saturday morning. I was peeking at the preview and I have my eye on two pairs of boots and a backpack. Please don’t invade the Omaha stores and steal my size before I get there 😉
  3. If you’re a Fremont native or a teacher in Omaha, Fremont’s Friends of Keene Memorial Library is having our book sale this Thursday-Sunday! I am on the board and it’s a great cause (I heart public libraries)! You can find new and used books for as little as 25 cents. I seriously got 40 books for $25 last year – and found Big Little Lies brand new – it was amazing. This is located in Fremont at the City Auditorium. Message me if you have any questions!

Now on to what you need to know for all your girls with spring birthdays…

Remember in December when I got a little square-shaped package on my doorstep? I first thought it was something for a collab, and I was so confused! I opened it and this adorable box appeared. I was sure something weird was going to jump out at me when it said…

I was super excited when it turned out to be my first Greetabl! It was a fun, personalized gift from my gal Jessica. It was totally unexpected!

I reached out to Greetabl, because I wanted to share how much I loved this and found it to be one of the best gifts for your gals. A few days after receiving that one for Christmas, I sent two more to my friends in Milwaukee and Texas. I thought Greetabl was the perfect gift to send to long-distance friends and I know you will too.

Here’s how it works:

For this one, I selected the floral print box (hello, spring!) and the gift of this amazing smelling lavender soap. There are a ton of gift options. I have now sent confetti, face masks, chocolate and Sugarfina (YES!) treats.

I added my interior message and three of my favorite photos with my gal Amelia. The photos are one of the best parts – they actually tear away from the paper at the end, so you can keep them and hang them up! I have the ones Jessica sent me on my fridge, actually!

You can add the address of the receiver and they’ll send them a surprise! I just think it’s so fun and unexpected – plus it’s founded in the Midwest and good price points. I would say they are around $15 on average – depending what gift you choose.

Let me know if you send any Greetabl‘s this spring and have a great week!
