Every week I meet with my middle-school-aged Teammate mentee. We talk about life, school and things we’re interested in. Her favorite thing to talk about with me, though? Books. I love that she’s at the age where reading is “cool” and it’s what she wants to do with her free time. In December, we did some goal setting for 2017 and one of each of our main goals was to read more! I loved sharing my monthly book review with you last year all and I want to continue that throughout 2017. She and I established our reading lists and decided we’d choose 1-2 books/month now and let the rest fall into place. So, without further ado…my list of 17 books to read in 2017!

What do you have on your list of books to read in 2017? What were your favorite books of 2016? If I had to choose a favorite book of 2016, it’s a tie between these two:
The Glass Castle – truly touched my heart and brought back my love for reading
The Blue Bistro – this got me HOOKED on Elin Hilderbrand books. The only reason she isn’t in this list is because I’ve already read ALL of her novels 😉 They’re easy-going, fun to read and curling up with one in bed is a great end to any day.
Happy Wednesday! What book are you going to start with?
